Vogue Homes

The Vogue Homes video is just 1 of 10 videos  created as part of a series for Leppington Living. Each video discusses a different topic on the home building process.

I shot this with two cameras - My RED Helium and a RED Komodo. Both cameras were set to 6K and colour match perfectly. Other toys included my pipe dolly and drone. For lighting, we hired in a 600D as we were shooting in large spaces and needed the extra punch, supplemented by my existing LED's.

Notice you'll never see a lapel mic in my shots. That's because if I use a lapel, I hide it. Otherwise I swing a boom mic from a c-stand and get it in overhead, nice and close to the talent (which is exactly what I did here). Showing lapel mics in corporate videos is just lazy filmmaking!

 

Working with only an assistant, we shot 10 interviews and b-roll of each home in just 3 days. ​
