Architectus partnered with Buildcorp on this project, asking me to shoot and direct a corporate video composed of interviews and cinematic b-roll. Dolly, jib and cinema zoom lenses allowed for a variety of graceful camera moves. And for the fun of it, with two wireless focus motors, the team and I even pulled off a classic Alfred Hitchcock style track and zoom in the long hallway!

I shot this in Sydney and Melbourne with an extremely low impact kit, consisting of just the camera, one lens, a gimbal, two LED's and a sound kit. Sometimes, that's all you need.

Much like the first video above, this one too was made to move with the use of a dolly, jib and cinema lenses. Notice my interviews, you'll never spot a lapel mic. I'm not sure when it became ok to leave a lapel mic in the shot for a corporate video, but personally I think of it as lazy filmmaking. For the best sound, I like to swing a boom from a c-stand and keep it out of the frame!
