Kelly Country
2x 15 sec TVC's
With the assistance of a camera operator, I delivered the direction and cinematography of these visually driven spots.
As director, I was asked to pitch and write the concepts for both commercials.

For the soft and flarey vibe I selected IronGlass re-housed vintage lenses.
I chose to shoot the tailor made ad at 75fps. I added haze to the room and asked my gaffer to place a HMI on a large stand outside the window to fake the sunlight. The real sun was actually on the other side of the building so only ambient daylight fell through the windows naturally. Inside, we rigged a book light style lighting setup to create the right amount of soft fill.
The general suits ad was shot in the gardens at Vaucluse House. Frame rate for this ad was 50fps. Because we were outdoors, I timed the shoot for the afternoon light and I intentionally framed each shot so that the sun would always be behind the talent. I then asked my gaffer to use a large piece of polly to bounce light back onto the talent.
